Accelerating trade between The Netherlands, Europe and Vietnam

To accelerate the international success of Vietnamese companies, the Dutch Business Association Vietnam  (DBAV) has founded a three-year program to guide selected Vietnamese SMEs in their international growth: Ready to Export. Only selected SMEs can partake in this intensive program that is free of charge and takes 8 months to complete. Acquisition for Vietnamese SMEs is now taking place in the five biggest cities of Vietnam.

The long-term goal of the R2E program is to enhance the capacity of Vietnamese SMEs (Small & Medium Enterprises) to become long term value chain partners of The Netherlands’ Foreign Direct Investors (FDI) and Multi National Enterprises (MNE) so that building reliable trading partnership between the 2 countries.

The short-term goal of the R2E program is to help selected Vietnamese SME to be successful in their expansion, both internationally and as a value chain partner for FDI and MNE (Multi National Enterprises) companies.

The program Ready to Export will focus on supporting these sectors:

  • Food processing
  • Agriculture
  • Aquaculture
  • Horticulture
  • Textiles and garments
  • Manufacturing

A total of up to 300 SMEs will initially participate in the training program, of which at minimum 90 and up to 150 SMEs will get additional mentoring & networking support over a period of 3 years (2022 to 2024)

The core of our program is to provide you:

  • A series of R2E workshops that assists to increase your business’ export-readiness;
  • Strategy to modify your company’s operations, production processes and facilities in order to handle an increased demand for your product;
  • Coaching and in-depth discussions with specialists on key trade issues; and
  • Networking and matchmaking events to explore opportunities and business development.

With the right training and introductions, including European practices, norms and standards, we expect that Vietnamese SMEs will receive a sustainable boost in growth and export readiness.
